Join us for an outdoor mushroom cultivation workshop sponsored by Catskill Forest Association.  Learn about the life cycle and ecological functions of fungi, and how to cultivate mushrooms outdoors.  Participants will learn to drill holes in logs, fill them with mushroom spawn, and seal them with wax. You will learn what types of wood are viable sources for mushroom spawn, how to take care of your log, initiate fruiting, and harvest your mushrooms.

Catskill Fungi mushroom extracts, mushroom-related books, t-shirts, and limited spawn will be available for purchase.

Come prepared with your mushroom questions!  Closed-toe shoes are required. Wear outdoor work clothes and bring garden gloves if desired. 

We will proceed rain or shine, unless severe storms are predicted.
