Call for Poetry and Short Film Submissions

The Rosendale Theatre needs short fungal films and mushroomy poets/musicians for its second annual -- you guessed it -- mushroom festival on Saturday June 17, 2023. The day’s events start with guided walks, community science, and mushroom education at 10 am, and they continue with discussions, short films, a culinary workshop, a panel on psychedelics, a music/poetry show, mushroom-related vendors, learning resources, and more!

For poetry/music submissions: send your audition video (a YouTube link) to rtcmushfest@rosendaletheatre.org, performances are 5 minutes max. Poetry/music applicants, attendance at the event is required.

For short film submissions: up to 15 minutes in length. Submission formats: vimeo, youtube links ok; formats for screening: h264 mpeg, vimeo link, DVD or BluRay. Attendance for film applicants is not required, but is encouraged.

All submissions are due: April 15, 2023. Applicants will be notified of selection by May 1.
